To celebrate many years of innovation and to promote new inventions, billionaire, Tzerock Glaas, founded the Eyes Open Association. Using this association and his many personal connections, Tzerock declared to all of Kepler the creation and plan to host The World Magic Festival. A massive international exhibition designed to showcase the achievements of nations, companies, and how far the the common morphic has come.

Beyond food, sponsored events, rides, and shows, the main attraction of the expo is an all or nothing battle royale called Portalpalooza. Combining Igfrit's anti-magic metallurgy and the 2nd moon to keep contestants safe and their sponsors happy. As such, the battle royale has attracted hundreds of dangerous competitors hoping to claim their spot in the top eight and win fame and fortune.

While the main Festival it to be hosted at Uxbrig in Deluxia, the actual battle royale is to be hosted in the archipelagic area known as Rainbow Reef. This is due to its weird geography and converging ocean currents which has allowed multiple climates to exist on different islands within the region.
