Ban List
Card balance is tough and some cards might be made better than others. While we do not try to make these cards intentionally, they do sometimes slip through the cracks of our testers. However, we also don’t want players to feel like their cards are worthless. Every card, no matter how powerful or weak, has a place.
Our ban lists are divided into formats and then two main categories, for example, if you are building a deck for the Chapter format, you can scroll down to the Chapter section. These sections are then divided into Handicap bans and VIP bans.
Handicap bans are restrictions in which the card cannot be used if your deck is playing a specific contestant. For example, if the card “Suppressing Fire” has Brittney as a banned contestant, it means you cannot put that card in a deck with her.
VIP bans are the opposite in which EVERY contestant is banned except for the listed contestant. These are contestants which we feel need the power boost and will mainly be used for multiplayer.
Every single card that enters the ban list will also be put onto a separate list called the suspension list. All cards on this list will be rereleased at some point in the future. For example, a green card may be rereleased as a red card. They’re new version will be the version played going forward. We will be working to get these cards updated as fast as possible and may release to stores for free.
Currently no cards are banned. We expect this page to get a substantial update after the first booster set releases.
