Collecting
How do I know which cards are valuable and which cards are not?
Players who buy SpellArms cards will notice on the bottom right a code.
This code is identifier for the difficulty of obtaining this card. Since SpellArms booster packs and booster boxes are guaranteed to have all 3 colors, cards are broken into categories for how rare a card is.
Letter Meaning
Z = One of a Kind (Cards only been printed once and will never be printed again)
S = Exclusives (From one time events, incentives, and unique occasions)
A = Organized Promos (Prizing from officially recognized tournaments)
B = Open Promos (From conventions, events, and giveaways)
C = Fancy Cards (Foils, alternate arts, and textured)
D = Packs (Booster packs, expansion packs, and raid packs)
E = Boxes (Starter decks, two-player boxes, and raid decks)
F = Free (Cards that can be downloaded and printed by anyone)
Symbol Meaning
(-) Minus = Last print run for this product
(=) Equal = Regular print run for this product
(+) First = First print run for this product
(!) Exclamation = Special print run for this product
In our above card example, this means that this card comes from a box and is part of the first run for those boxes.
While each card may have its own market value from the player base, we may make decisions based on market trends to influence this, but only if necessary. For example, a convention promo that is extremely popular or unfairly distributed, may be printed again or available in other ways.
Collectible card games are meant to be collected and we hope our players enjoying collecting each and every card.
